Weekly Update 7: Almost there


Still comitted to weekly updates and still delivering. Just like last week our main focus with this update was to add polishing to the game. The most noteworthy changes in this update are:

  • Lasers now deal 1 damage to the player, instead of dps. This was always the intented behaviour of them, however turns out that this was more difficult than it seems, so we pushed it down the road. Turns out it wasn't a problem after all. Oops.
  • Added additional textboxes at certain game events to further tell the Story. Though currently it only has placeholder texts
  • Healthgain between the levels is now based on your level score
  • New graphics for lasers
  • Custom runs now get unlocked after beating the final boss
  • many small graphic details
  • many many many fixes for bugs you didn't even knew existed

This update marks the last one before the full release next week. Our team is really proud about what we managed to achive and can't wait to release it on next Thursday the 9th of March. Don't expect any drastic changes in this update, however you can look forward to the full Story aswell as controller support. Some of you may also remember that this game is made as part of a student project. This means we are going to move that game to a new itch page that the school prepared for us. The next update will also appear on this one, however any further updates (should we decide to continue working on this game) will be hapening on the new itch page.
